Second Chances

The SECOND CHANCES INITIATIVE is a resource alternative for children who are in jeopardy of no longer being a good fit at school. Second Chances links children to a Support Coach/Tutor that will provide support services to children who are at-risk of failing or dropping out of school.

SECOND CHANCES participants receive:

  • Academic advising and homework assistance
  • Intrusive support services
  • Barriers to success sessions
  • Self-esteem and self-confidence coaching
  • Relationship building (family and friends)
  • Financial literacy exercises
  • Career goals exploration
  • College readiness (if applicable)

To participate in the program, enrollment is required by completing an intake form and supporting documents. Additionally, parents are asked to meet with the Executive Director regularly to discuss and monitor progress for the child enrolled in the program.

At the FMWF Tutoring Tenacity Center, we hold a fundamental belief: Every child in grades K–4 has the ability to learn, grow, and achieve success. We are driven by the unwavering conviction that:

Learning is limitless: With the right support, encouragement, and instruction, every young learner can master foundational skills in reading, math, and writing.

Success is personal: We celebrate each child’s progress, recognizing that growth happens at different rates and every milestone matters.

Tenacity is key: We intentionally nurture perseverance, confidence, and a growth mindset so students develop strong learning habits that will serve them for years to come.

FMWF Tutoring Tenacity is your trusted partner in building strong academic foundations. We empower K–4 students to discover their strengths, believe in their abilities, and unlock their full potential.
